Groundbreaking V-Mixing System
Roland Systems Group Announces Groundbreaking V-Mixing System
Digital Mixing Solution Brings Unprecedented Ease, Convenience, and Quality to Installations and Live-Sound Events

Amsterdam September 7, 2007 — Today at the IBC Show, Roland Systems Group announced and demonstrated a breakthrough live digital sound solution.  The RSS V-Mixing System incorporates the new RSS M-400 V-Mixer , Live Digital Console, configurable digital snakes with high quality remotely controlled mic preamps, and a multi-track recording option.  This new fully digital system eliminates the bulk and noise susceptibility typically associated with analog snakes and replaces it with cat5e (Ethernet/LAN) cable. It is easy to use and sets up in minutes by plugging in one lightweight cat5e cable from a Digital Snake stage unit to the M-400 V-Mixer.

The system generates superior sound quality by converting analog inputs to 24-bit digital streams at the stage via high-quality mic preamps located near the source. The V-Mixing System then secures the quality of audio signal throughout the complete system path en route to the M-400 V-Mixer, back to any outputs and on to the limitless split positions.

The M-400 V-Mixer features rapid recall of setups, 100mm motorized and touch sensitive faders, an 800 x 480 color screen, and dedicated knobs for EQ, Pan, and Gain. The M-400 V-Mixer has up to 48-channel mixing capability including digital patch-bay,  16 Aux/Mon sends, 8 DCA's, 8 Mute Groups and a REAC 40-channel output for monitor split or recording options. The intuitive interface is fast to learn and easy to use. Novice users will also appreciate the on-board Help system.

The M-400 V-Mixer integrates with PCs for sending/receiving setup data allowing users to prepare channel setups and configurations before arriving at the venue.

Digital audio software developer Cakewalk has developed a driver that enables the M-400 V-Mixer to record multi-tracks of audio to their SONAR software using REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication).  REAC is a powerful driver protocol that allows the transfer of up to 40 channels of 24-bit audio plus MIDI and remote-control data down one Cat5e cable.  Simply connect a Cat5e cable from the REAC split port on the M-400 V-Mixer to the gigabit network port on your PC for 40 channels of clean, pure 24-bit audio transfer. The Calkwalk REAC driver is scheduled for release in near future.

The M-400 V-Mixer is V-LINK compatible, allowing it to be integrated with EDIROL video products such as the V-440HD Multi-format Video Mixer giving you a complete A/V solution for live performances where audio follow is required.

Roland Systems Group's breakthrough V-Mixing System is the answer to high-quality, cost-effective live digital audio control and distribution and represents a new level in configurability and convenience for live sound setup and performance.
